Why here…

The purpose of this blog is to bring to light a variety of issues and relevant topics that are prevalent in today’s fire service. As I mentioned in my personal biography the fire and emergency services are an area of the public sector that are meeting great deals of technological, political, and sociological change.  It is my experience that change is something that is constantly accompanied by debate and often intense personal opinion.  It is my hope to provide an arena to generate external discussion by using this blog to shed light on many current issues surrounding FES, while concurrently projecting my own personal opinion on numerous controversial, developmental, adaptive issues.

I hope this will become my first step in this profession towards becoming an advocate for the preservation of the traditionalism of the fire and emergency services while allowing for the necessary change needed to help public service move forward towards continually improved service and professionalism.
